Title - The love monster written by Nandha Kriskar.
"Sometimes, pain dies among metaphors, and that is all."
"We had one thing to do—love— and we did it poorly."
"Rainy days are beautiful, but so too are sunny days. Sadness helps us slow down, and a speed break once in a while doesn’t pause the journey. I figured out, your pain is your pain: you can bawl your heart out, but how much do you think someone really cares? Try to give everyone their space. Do you squeeze a whale into a bottle? Both get hurt! I learnt everyone learns their little lessons, but nothing really means anything, unless you get yourself hurt a little less than the last time you hurt yourself. Because, my biggest lesson is, hurt is not an option, but if you learnt to dodge it, you can survive the days with whatever love is left in you."
Love is not always about beautiful things but sometimes it is about the painful memories that haunt a person at 3 a.m. So, these poetries deals with that side of love where insecurities, sadness, hurt and pain dominates.
The book is divided into three parts: dusk, Dawn and Dark. dusk and dawn deals with short proses of love and every other feeling but dark expresses emotion in long phrases.
This is a poetry book and the poet is expressing her emotions through the rightly chosen words.
The cover of the book Is simple and the title will intrigue you. The only thing I did not like is the small font. The people who are broken in love are gonna easily resonate with the poems.
