I am also presently a struggling writer. This was my first book and definitely I have to learn a lot before I could preach someone, but yes if one has made up his mind to write a book then the person should focus on the plot and while listening to inner conscience let the words flow on paper.
When did you decide that you want to become an author?
I have been writing from the age of when I was 15years old, gradually I developed a habit of writing short stories, skit and Drama for Schools & Colleges. But after joining the corporate job I couldn’t dedicate time to keep writing, but one fine day I realized that writing is something which gives me happiness and then I was on track and wanted everyone to be able to read my stories, which finally came out in the form of Meri Aarzoo.

In the modern day era where most of the millennials parent are busy with their Phone or Gadgets, the same thing is what inspire a young/ fresh life like children. They only imitate the adults therefore reading habits can be easily inculcated when you spend time with children and read books together.

Suspense, thriller, romance and mythology interest me a lot. It completely depends on the writer imagination and mind frame which makes him select a particular genre.

What is your strategy to overcome writer's block situation?
I leave writting for some time and once I am out of the situation then I restart thinking about the plot, there are a couple of chances where I have to change the complete plot.
What are you writing these days?
I am writing a Novel called Trishna.,
Do you want each book to stand on its own, or are you trying to build a body of work with connections between each book?
Its not a mandate that whatever you write should have a connection between them, but yes the way a writer writes is more important because each one has a different style. I must definitely maintain that while writing. Because it becomes easier for the reader to quickly adapt to it.
Do you have any favourite corner in your house to write?
Yes , it's beside my bed. I generally put one chatai and start writing .
